We arrived at Black Point Settlement on Monday 5/27 after an overnight stop over just west inside of Big Galliot Cay, we sailed up the Exuma Sound side and then went through the cut into the banks.  The sailing conditions have been very good caught a few barracuda one to big to keep but gave a great fight the other good for two meals.  We have the auto tiller and wind indicator working again which is helpful although we did not use the auto tiller much the past two days it really comes in handy when we are doing shifts and want to leave the wheel to get food, drink or need to use the head when the other person is sleeping.  In the perfect world when the winds are right and the boat is balanced you can let go of the wheel with no problems but we have had following seas and that does not work as good and if you not careful you have that unplanned jibe :-(

So here we are at Black Point Settlement, very nice friendly community that we enjoyed during our trip down.    We are here until Sat or Sun due to what is supposed to be horrible weather, high winds with gusts in the 40 kt range.  So we will be doing a lot of reading, boat chores and hopefully a little foraging for conch when weather permits.  I went for a nice long walk today to "The Garden of Eden" and then out to a blow hole that wasn't blowing to much on the east side of the island.

 We are excited over meeting up with "Bye Polar" finally who we last saw in Southport North Carolina, they are just getting here and plan on continuing on south on the same path we took.  It will be fun catching up but we will be like ships passing in the night as they continue their trek south and we head north.

 We hope to move on Friday the 30th weather is being problematic for us but we are going to keep moving north every chance we get.
